Canoga Park is a neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles, California. The area has a population of over 60,000 people. Canoga Park was originally part of the town of Owensmouth, which was founded in 1912. The name “Canoga Park” was derived from the name of the original land owner, Isaac Newton Van Nuys. The area was annexed by the city of Los Angeles in 1917. Canoga Park has since become a popular residential area for families and young professionals.
